چکیده
To study the influence of sand particles on strength and dry–wet cycle characteristics cement-solidified South China coastal soft clay, a series clay samples with different contents sizes were prepared, unconfined compression (UCS) tests, tests under seawater freshwater conditions, scanning electron microscopy X-ray diffraction carried out. The test results show that UCS cement–sand-solidified soil (CS-SS) at 7, 14 28 d increase as particle content increases, their size decreases; average mass loss rate sand–cement ranges from 14% to 61%. properties durability improve increases decreases. Moreover, anti-dry–wet ability conditions is better than those conditions. (SEM), (XRD), ion chromatography stiffness replacement effect (the high replaces low clay), interface cementation between cemented soil, microcrack expansion-obstructing effects contribute improvement cement–sand solidified clay.

The influences of nano-ZrO2 (NZ), nano-TiO2 (NT), nano-Fe2O3 (NF) and nano-Al2O3 (NA) additions on properties of the fresh and hardened cement paste in comparison with the fine cement paste were experimentally studied. Mini slump and flow cone tests were conducted on fresh cement pastes. Moreover the compressive and tensile strength of hardened cement paste were measured. SEM micrographs and XR...

A series of tests were performed to investigate the creep characteristics of soil in interactive marine and terrestrial deposit of Pearl River Delta. The secondary consolidation test results show that the influence of consolidation pressure on coefficient of secondary consolidation is conditional, which is decided by the consolidation state. The ratio of coefficient of secondary consolidation a...

Nowadays, soil reinforcement using polymer elements have been investigated by a number of researchers in order to increase the load capacity of soils. Reinforcing soils using fibers is a method of soil improvement, which offers a homogenous mixture in combination with soils, regarding their tensile strength. This combination maintains pressure loading capacity and properties in mutual resistant...

Inverse linear relationships between soil strength and yield in Coastal Plain soils that have subsurface genetic hard layers have previously been developed for corn (Zea mays L.), soybean (Glycine max L. In an era of continued economic development around the globe, numerous rock-related projects including mining and gas/oil exploration are undertaken in regions with cold climates. Winters in the Iranian western and northwestern provinces are characterized by a high precipitation rate and a cold weather. Under such conditions, rocks are exposed to long freezing periods and several freeze-thaw (F...
